| dripping springs is a Beautiful
Trail Winding through the mountains east of Quartzite, Arizona. There are
several open mines to explore prior to reaching dripping Springs. Trail
winds through the foothills before abruptly descending into a narrow wash.
A tight left turns leads you up a steep climb to the site of the cabin (stone
walls), Petroglyphs, and dripping springs. I was lucky to see a big horn
sheep while driving through the canyon. what an amazing animal, that left
me longing for my telephoto lens. After exploring the springs (located in
a cave adjacent to the cabin), i continued south through the wash. This
portion of the canyon is more challenging than the northern entrance, but
well within the capabilities of a high-clearance stock SUV. There are two
waterfalls that require attention, but make the trip out more interesting. |
Trail Rating: 2.5 (1-5 scale)
|
Note: Longer vehicles (115" wheelbase)
will struggle in canyon due to tight turns |
| Major Obstacle |
Waterfall after Dripping Springs. Long overhangs
on stock vehicles will drag |

One of the many open mines in the area.
This one had a nice overhead rail frame. |

If you look closely, you will see the big
