This trip was intended as an exploratory of the Dragoon Mountains east of Tucson, and the Wilcox Playa (Dry lake bed). The Dragoon Mountains are mostly private land, so our efforts to find a good trail exceeded our time available. We will try accessing the Mountains from the north next time.

We briefly stopped by the remote Amerind Museum located south of I10 in the Dragoon Mountains.

The Wilcox Playa is a very interesting, and large dry lake bed. There is limited access to the area from the west, so plan on searching a bit. It is like being on a moonscape. Very interesting area
