This trip was a training session for TEAM BAJA, the adventure racing team that I am a member of. We wanted to conduct some training on the Mtn. Bikes and a few treks that included orienteering and navigation exercises.

This is a list of the training we completed: Training map (Satellite Image)

Mtn. Bike- 18.5 miles
Trek 1- 2 miles
Trek 2- 6 miles with a nice slot canyon and some bouldering

Our campsite near French Creek (dry). The weather was perfect, and I was able to sleep outside on a cot, with a great view of the stars. Light pollution is minimal here.
A view to the north of our camp towards Red hill and Black Mesa
The view west from a small climb we made during the trek. This valley splits the Livingston Hills to the north and the Kofa Mountains to the south.
The view south
The start of the slot canyon on day three
Half way up the canyon, requiring a few bouldering moves

A small tinijas at the top of the slot canyon. We also navigated to High tank nine.
