"Patience, Plan and Practice"

Bill Burke's first volume of his backcountry training series is a fantastic resource, which provides an abbreviated view of Bill's extensive knowledge and experience. While the volume is geared more towards the novice and intermediate 4wheeler, even an experienced off highway enthusiast will glean small gems of information from this volume.

For example, the sections on winching hand signals, and the importance of safe cable handling are excellent chapters. There was more than one comment Bill made throughout the tape that peaked my interest, causing me to make a mental note. The tone of the video is professional and efficient, and Bill continues to hit home the key concepts with each step, enhancing the viewers learning.

It really was a pleasure to watch this highly skilled adventurer share his experience and attempt to compact decades of knowledge into a two hour program. Bill does a good job of keeping the information simple enough for the novice, while still sharing some great details the more experienced user will appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend the DVD for all OHV users.
